Conservation of water resources through techniques such as rainwater harvesting can be an effective short-term solution. Meanwhile, efforts to reforest and restore critical land in areas affected by drought can help increase water absorption capacity and restore damaged ecosystems.
Global awareness also needs to be raised to encourage collective action on climate change. Financial support from developed countries for restoration projects in developing countries, through initiatives such as the Green Climate Fund, is important to increase society’s adaptive capabilities.
Implementing these solutions requires cross-sector collaboration, integrating approaches from government, the private sector and civil society to create a more effective response to global drought. Communities must be encouraged to actively participate in protecting the environment and managing resources wisely, ensuring resilience to face future challenges.
